That applies only to certain lakes and reserviors - besides I'm taking
it to MX to replace the one on my boat there.

To get back to your original question...there are still a few 2-strokes you
can purchase (outside of CA of course). Tohatsu (same as Nissan and
Mercury) still makes a 2.5 and 3.5 2-stroke. You can find more info at
their website at www.tohatsu.com (or www.nissanmarine.com).

engine. Probably available in the US.
