Default Garmin 45 software update ?

You will need a power lead
for the 4-way plug preferably with a cigar-lighter plug at the other
end, so that you can leave it in the car overnight for instance

I had a Garmin with a round rubber socket with 4 holes in it that plugged
into the unit. After a couple of years, it simply DISINTEGRATED! This was
caused by the humidity causing this rubber to LEAK between the +12V battery
pin and the ground pin INSIDE THE RUBBER! It simply turned to powder....

Now THAT's real planned obsolescence!

Thank you to all for your answers; I will try the 24 hours "loading"
through my 12V supply ( only made a 7 hours 'search the sky' test
without success).
