Yes, just punch in your destination and follow the course line to it. But, you have to watch the depths which are also listed on the electronic chart to make sure you don't run aground trying to follow a straight line to your destination. If the depths are dubious just zig and zag the course line and steer to waypoints to avoid such hazards. If it weren't for modern conveniences such as these then the likes of a Bruce in Bangkok, for example, probably would have never gotten out of the home port harbor. LOL! Nice aside, but I was navigating the coast of Maine with a magnetic compass and a Texaco road map before you were weaned.
