The only reference I have found is frm an auction sale in Thomaston, ME, in
2001:

"SHIP CAPTAINS SINK - MAHOGANY FRAMED, WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL INSERT, BRUSHED
ALUMINUM FIXTURES & HARDWARE, MANUFACTURED BY A. B. SANDS & SON CO., MARINE
PLUMBING SUPPLIES, 20 1/2"H X 19 1/2"W X 4 1/2"D, CONDITION: MINOR RIM CHIP TO

"

Selling price was $550.
