As a Texan I feel I must disabuse you of some of your beliefs. Texas won
it's independence from Mexico. The U.S. had nothing to do with it. Ever
heard of Goliad or the Alamo? Yes, some of those who fought and died
were
immigrants from the U. S., but Texans all.
