What do you think makes your pistons go up and down

I have several lines on my boat that were whipped

properly, and they're a
beautiful sight. However, when I replaced my fender lines

recently, I dipped
the ends instead of taking the time to whip them. So far,

it seems just
fine, the only difference seeming to be the asthetic.

In other words, fire...... Most people think gasoline and diesel fuel *explodes* on top of the piston
inside the cylinder inside the motor but it *burns*. If it explodes you get that knocking sound. I learned
all about it from this book. http://www.amazon.com/Auto-Repair-Du.../dp/0764550896

Cheers,
Ellen

Perhaps Doug has converted to nuclear-generated steam.

An explosion is nothing more than an extremely rapid burn.

The hot melted ends are good for cleaning out one's ears. :-)

I personally recommend the pointy end of a scratch awl for that, Jon.
