Sorry, Vito..Thomas will be attending one of the best schools in the world and be exposed to culture and art not available on your "little fairy on the prarie" land..... Aha! And when will you teach him to hunt and shoot? Tsk tsk tsk .... no doubt grow up a homosexual - or worse. Poor kid. |

We don't want Thom to share our ideas. We want him to come up with better ones. That's why we'll never be "old farts." Bwahahahaha! And where will he be exposed to these "better ides"? In NY? Sure ..... from Rev Moon. I used to think like you until I got to be an "old fart". Edgar is right - you'll think your kid is FU'd and wonder why. A friend raised his girl to be a housewife. She works for an international corp, travels all over the world and makes $500K/yr at 40. Is he happy? No! She didn't give him any grandkids! I wanted SWMBO's kid to be like that. She dropped out, got married, had a kid, and sees a shrink twice a week. It never occurred to me that I'd be on the old side of a generation gap - but I am. I have nothing in common with y'all wimpy young city/suburban kids raised on Ritalin to have big mouths and zero tolerance for violence. Jeeze, the kids over on reeky motorcycles had cat because somebody dared to honk his horn at a car and my habit of closing car door on drivers heads gives them the willys. Like I said, I feel sorry for y'all. If WW II happened today, we'd loose. |

My good friend is a retired detective and in 22 years he never pulled his gun. Instead in learned marshall arts and how to handle himself. I love it. You are a ntural comedian! In 22 years behind a desk your friend never "pulled a gun". Did he even own one? And "marshall" arts? an even bigger joke. Martial arts are sports with rules - rules street fighters ignore. We used to go to the Karate dojos and slap the instructors around when I was in high school. Then I took a couple semesters of Judo in college and learned why - jeeze, we might as well have picked on basketball players. I don't need a weapon and if you ever learn to handle yourself, niether would you. We had a shop teacher in hi school who thot that. Fact is he could whip any five of us kids. So we brought six and sent him to the ER in a coma just to teach him a lesson you obviously never learned. Oh, I guess being a kid excluded exposure to the arts! It isn't necessary, or even desirable to be "exposed" by sitting in the middle of some crowded theater smelling the farts and perfume. There are literally 1000s of artists who are as good as any you'll find on stage who never "got noticed". Each of my many friends have paintings (some original, some copies) in their homes and most create their own music. Their kids learn to appreciate art by participating in it rather than being simple spectators. Would you believe there is an art to stomping somebody's head without killing him? |

Best do some research.. there are several treatment plants .... Yup, and there are treatment plants on every tributary of the Cheasapeake Bay. Of course they dump 1000s of gallons of raw sewage every time it rains. That's why the bay is a cesspool almost as bad as LIS. But don't get caught taking a leak off your boat ...... People = pollution. The more people the more pollution. |

Sorry to tell you, but quite a few cops don't ever draw their guns .... That's a fact! All one needs to do is ticket mousey little guys and avoid criminals. |

Anything more than a bow is a spoof of the word hunting. This is true and even a bow is a spoof if used from a blind or tree stand. The only way to hunt nowdays is to have 3+ people share one gun and several bottles of whiskey while they walk the woods. That way any animal they kill deserved to die, and there is a real risk to the hunters. Hereabouts, we don't hunt - we harvest. If a deer wanders by my porch and my freezer is low I kill it - but I don't call that hunting. And once a year the neighbors have a drive to thin out the excess. That's not hunting either. |

Actually, it's a 30 - and no it's not fast. There is no such thing as a fast sailboat. Possibly not. But some are certainly much faster than others. ... We mainly use it to anchor out overnight, thus to let the waves rock us to sleep. It suits that purpose. Provides an excellent sunset viewing platform as well. katy wrote: Vito, You ever go over to Cape Charles? If he doesn't he should. Up to Tangier, too. DSK |

If I want to shoot something, I use a spotlight and a scope sighted rifle. Wandering about looking for victims during the daylight is a waste of my time. Same logic for fishing. Why waste time with a hook when you can use a gillnet and have a few drinks while waiting for the fish to commit suicide? PDW |

Chemo & radiation left me too weak to handle a boat if the going got at all rough so I gotta stay within a short sail from the pier for now. Maybe this fall .... Thanks |
