All kidding aside, it sure is too bad that they can't figure out that this
newsgroup is not that important to world peace or whatever. I just don't get it. From the second hand posts, I can see that I'm being accused of all sorts of things. As is my usual response, I won't confirm nor deny it. Let them stew in their own fetid juices. It really does bother me, however, that they're resorting to cross-posting and attempting to get help from those jerks that tried to really destroy the newsgroup a year or so ago. I just don't see the justification except in their juvinile minds. Sorry for the rant. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Scotty" wrote in message ... thanks Jon, I like you too. It's a source of fun and banter - apres-race ****takes and debate in the yacht club bar is a good analogy. I just don't get it. It's about LP getting back at Katysails over some dumb flame war. It really does bother me, however, that they're resorting to cross-posting and attempting to get help from those jerks that tried to really destroy the newsgroup a year or so ago. Yup, LP and Katysails have some pathetic hissy fit, so LP calls in a bunch of boot-boys and has the whole bar trashed. I just don't see the justification except in their juvinile minds. That's because there is none beyond that. Neal might play the trolling, opiniated mouthpiece, but he's often done so with some humour; and LP played some flirtatious floosie, who I could quite happily take or leave - just a bit player as far as I was concerned. I think what we've seen here is a game of "Let's you and him fight", between Neal and Katy, instigated by LP. LP couldn't give Katy a good enough kicking on her own, so she got Neal to do it for her, and in such a way as to force Katy's hand (ie, do the netcop thing), knowing that, as soon as Katy netcopped, LP would raise the flag for the flonkers to come in and trash the bar. LP is basically making a big show of giving Katy a kicking because she couldn't do it on her own, and all been played out on an unimportant virtual stage where nobody else gives a toss about anything other than getting on with the fun and banter they come here for. It's a load of pathetic ego-wank. I was pleased for Neal that he got some female company while out sailing for a few days, but both he and LP have gone way down in my estimation after this. Especially LP - she's gone from a bit-player to being spiteful, vindictive and more than willing to **** everybody off because she can't deal with a stupid personal flame war (the justification of 'protecting free speech' is nothing more than a smokescreen for that - that might be where the flonkers are at, but it wasn't what LP was using them for). Neal would do well to step away from this person for a while and consider the results of his part in this. I don't think the nett gain can be described as positive. As I said to LP in another post, all we really have here is personas. Outside of those we've met in real life, we don't really know the person behind the poster. In spite of that, I've often wondered who I would go for a sail with if I ever found myself on the other side of the pond. For all his invective, Neal was one of them - but not in the present climate. -- Wally www.artbywally.com/FiatPandaRally/index.htm www.wally.myby.co.uk |

"JG" wrote in message ... No. Excellent post. Get with it Donal. Jonathan, Wally posted a well balanced view of the situation. OTOH, it seems possible that you have indeed made a complaint to Neal's ISP. I abhor such conduct. I *really* abhor such conduct. I think that you need to learn the difference between "abuse OF the internet"(illegal) and "abuse ON the Internet" (legal). If somebody calls you a "Homo" then you just have to deal with it. It isn't a big deal. It doesn't mean that you have to run to "teacher" screaming "Please Miss, Please Miss!". If you want to know how a real heterosexual man deals with accusations of homosexuality then why don't you accuse me of being a Homo? I'll be quite happy to give you a demonstration of how you should behave when confronted with false allegations. Regards Donal -- |

He has done so several times in the past as well. Both Ganz and Haight have done so. Katy admitted it here and I can send you confidential proof that Ganz has done so. I even posted one of his netKKKop e-mails from a previous ISP here several years ago. It can probably still be found in the archives at Google. Thanks for realizing the seriousness of any attempt to deny another individual's rights to free speech. CN |

Donal,
Of course it's "possible." However, I will neither confirm nor deny it. So, you're left with either believing Neal, who is a known liar or with accepting the fact that you'll never know for sure. Assuming for a moment that I did actually contact his ISP (and we're not talking recently here), then is it possible for you to imagine a situation that would make it ok to do so... I mean beyond reacting to his foul language and odd views of the world? What would be an acceptable reason in your view for protesting to an ISP? Neal seems to have no problem supposedly bragging about reporting me to supernews. I don't see you decrying that. Why the double standard, especially w.r.t. Neal? I will say this about that... :-) For someone to call me a homo is not an issue that would cause me to "report someone to his ISP." I'm sure it would be viewed as a stupid complaint with no merit, since filtering is available. And, in fact, I have filtered Neal pretty effectively. The only time I see his posts are when someone copies them in theirs. You've claimed in the past that I had no sense of humor and yet it seems you don't. Wally's post was right on. You said it was a good post and a chided you by saying that it was a great post. Obviously, you're humor impaired not to see the humor in that. I'm truly sorry for you. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Donal" wrote in message ... "JG" wrote in message ... No. Excellent post. Get with it Donal. Never know for sure? lol What about believing Gary Burnore who wrote about Ganz's netcop abuse complaints, and I quote, "He's made several. Four to be exact. The first one was laughed at. The rest ignored." Why do you add your home and cell numbers to the abuse reports, loser? I'm truly sorry for you. Too bad most in this newsgroup, except Scotty and Katywails of course, can sympathize with your abhorrent behavior! LP |
