snort...dream on....if your life was half as good as what lives inside your
head, you'd be in heaven... "Capt. Neal®" wrote in message ... I decided it was best to not e-mail you with personal correspondence. You would surely fall in love with me and I you. Since you are married that would be unacceptable behavior on both our behalves. Being a man of high morals and Godly upbringing, I am willing to sacrifice some immediate gratification for the good of you, your husband and your children. I could never live with myself knowing I had broken up a healthy marriage from a selfish desire to correspond with a very delicious and highly intelligent woman even if she's one who doesn't eat right. LP, on the other hand, has no such encumbrances so she can correspond freely with single men. Not only that but she is just as beautiful as you and has the prettiest blue eyes. . . And Mooron said she's a natural blonde - sort of strawberryish. Yum! Try not to be too jealous of her, please. CN "katysails" wrote in message ... No....that's not what I meant. I meant we do not correspond off the ng (except that he does send me Christmas cards....) "Lady Pilot" wrote in message news:wiQtd.89462$EZ.13120@okepread07... So you are claiming that Neal is an imposter on the newsgroups for the past few years? Shock, LP "katysails" wrote in message ... Check with me about what? Neaal's not one of my correspondants. "Lady Pilot" wrote in message news ![]() "Capt. Neal®" wrote: Was I supposed to e-mail or call? I don't have your e-mail or your phone #. You could send me a message at warrenneal at hotmail dot com. Maybe it will get through. Sometimes hotmail is a bit overaggressive tossing mail into the junk mail file. CN Well, I've never had your hotmail account, (maybe I should check with Katy?) although I did post my ladypilot at geocities dot com addy, but you never responded... LP |

I would probably shoot the scum in the spine right below his head so he would have the rest of his life in a wheel chair as a quad to think about the error of his ways. No, you'd probably catch your thumb in the hammer or shoot yourself in the foot. Nav wrote: And then you would spend a lot of time in prison to consider the error of your ways Maybe in New Zealand, but not here. In the U.S. we have civilized laws regarding the defense of others from human predators. In fact, in NC a couple years back a bill to update the law on use of deadly force to protect property failed to pass. The legalese meant that the law reverted to an older version which allows a property owner to shoot trespassers. So when a tarheel says 'git outta my yard, boy' you better git. DSK |

gee...we're only allowed to shoot trespassing dogs...maybe we should move to NC... You'd miss all the snow, wouldn't you? We haven't even had a freeze here yet. Actually I believe it's a fairly universal principle in most states, that one may (or even should) use deadly force to prevent the commission of a fatal crime. Hey Dave, if you're reading this thread, any comment on this? I know it's true in Florida, years ago a co-worker shot a robber in a convenience store who was holding a gun to the clerk's head. The cops showed up at the shop, took his statement, and left. He was never charged with anything. As for trespassing, some states have recently (in the past 20 years AFAIK) passed laws mandating "maximum retreat" meaning that you cannot use force to defend your property. Sounds pretty stupid to me, it's not a big problem for society that gung-ho home-owners are shooting crooks in record numbers. Maybe the crooks have a better lobby? Regards Doug King |

Miss snow? Yeah...right....I can live without it...
As far as shooting people goes, in Michigan, if someone breaks in to your house you have the option of shooting him dead or not shooting him at all...if you shoot and wound they can sue you for everything you;ve got...also, they have to die in the house..if they crawl out and die on the sidewalk, you are then a murderer rather than shooting in self-defense... I've heard that in many states if you shoot somebody in your yard, drag them into the house and you're OK. As for being sued by a robber... I know it's happened, which is ridiculous... but IMHO it's not so much a problem with the laws as with the fact that there are far too many lawyers with nothing better to do. A friend of mine was once sued by a man who drove his car into the side of my friends house. I don't know how the lawyers tried to convince a court that my friend was driving his house recklessly.... In PA you can shoot a lawyer and don't have to drag him into your
house. Nobody wants a lawyer in their house, dead or alive. Scotty "DSK" wrote in message . .. katysails wrote: Miss snow? Yeah...right....I can live without it... Same here. What do you do if you're trapped in a locked room with a revolver loaded with only 2 bullets, an alligator, a rabid pit bull, and a lawyer? You shoot the lawyer twice. DSK |
