When asked about Vietnam he honestly answered that as a Senator he lacked the info needed but would either win or pull out depending on that info. LBJ swore "I will never send your son to Vietnam!". LBJ won and promptly sent 50,000 mothers' sons to die in 'nam. Says much about the gullibility of our electorate. |
