Tearing

| repeated range of motion, wally.

Tearing muscle is from a violent hyper extension of a range of motion Bob...
not repeated range of motion. Only women and ultra out of shape males would
suffer such injuries..... even doing extreme biking. Not that there would be
any place in your area such an activity could be done. Maybe you should have
passed closer to the drive through window when you reached for your triple
cheeseburger & fries. Next time don't go for the "Supersize" and save your
pecs the added strain. :-)

Do you carry "lil Binary Bill" in basket when you bike? Arf! Arf Arf!

Down Boy.... Bad Dog!

Well, I've seen photos of both Bob and Scotty. Unless Bob is 17 feet
tall, I'm betting that Scotty weighs more than Bob does.

I run 2-3 days a week, even in this cold, plus weight train. I'm 6.3 205

lbs.
No one here is as fit as me.
Oh, and I don't drink or smoke and rarely eat red meat.
Scotty will be long dead when I'll still be sailing and mountain biking.
Suzanne is in even better shape, but then she gets a free gym membership
through the hospital...

100% wrong. Repeated stress on a muscle group/strand will damage it.

Unless you do this type of biking on a regular basis and practice, you will
suffer injuries. Even pro's have trouble. Guess you never ran a marathon where
pro runners drop from a whole range of muscle related injuries...ALL from
repeated motion stress.

Nanasivik Marathon..... 30 km with with a 2000 ft elevation change. Bob...
you're talking to someone who considers a 12 mile hike through deep brush
and swamp as an easy Sunday walk. When I spearfish I free dive to 40 feet.
I've climbed Nahanni Butte... only 6000 ft but a difficult climb with out
climbing gear. I doubt some plump city slicker would offer me any
competition. Stick to your toys and gadgets. Shopping, theatre and
restaurants is all you are familiar with. That's what you city boys are good
for. Leave the real stuff to the real men.

Repeated motion stress without hyper extension is no strain Bob!

Mooron, you're both a fool an a liar. You just posted that repetitive motion
during physical activity won't tear or damage muscle tissue.
Okay, bub. Whatever.

Yeah, but isn't it nice to know that some people are even more silly than we
are?!

You and I may have our differences (understatement of the week I'm sure),
this is just plain stupid. He must be a 14 year old. Don't tell Horass.

Bob... to build muscle you have to tear some as well.... but not to the
degree that requires hospitalization from severe trauma. If lifting
something as light a bike causes that... I would say you are woefully out of
shape and your muscle mass is better suited to opera glasses and long
periods in the balcony waiting for the fat lady to sing.

If your case for repetitive motion were valid ... people would be tearing
muscles by walking, talking, typing and jerking off. Sudden or repetitive
_hyperextension_ in a violent or extremely forceful manner might cause
tearing to the degree you describe... but in a physically fit person
repetitive motion won't cause the damage you claim to have suffered. I've
got years in martial arts training and understand quite well what a body
will take in punishment as well as the requirement to stretch and prepare
the muscles prior to a work-out.

So here it is... you are either an out of shape wimp or fabricating the
circumstance to achieve some semblance of validation of your claims of
fitness.

Prove your current status of physical fitness and post a picture. ;-)
