Default Stinky sink!

Does your sink drain to the bilge or out? I'd get something non-porous =
and that's unaffected by heat. Told you that if you poured all that =
turkey grease down there you'd regret it....

It goes out. The Tahiti had a sump in the bilge and wasn't a problem. Go
figure.

It wasn't the turkey, it was those damned little quail!

(Peep is sitting here bobbing (ew) his head at me:^)

A galley sink on a liveaboard draining into the bilge? Is this a Mid-Western thing?

We put in one of those Rule sump pans with the little pump and strainer.
Keeps the bilge clean.

We have a sump, too, but several times a grape or one of those little =
carrots has managed to work its' way into the tubing and thenI've had a =
backup of mel****er in the box...annoying...or if Mr Sails spills =
something and doesn't wipe it up (almost a given) and it goes down and =
then I have to pour down some bleach or baking soda and vinegar...

Katy:

It is illegal to drain the ice chest to the bilge on the Great Lakes, well, on the Canadian side anyway. I am assuming it's the same on your side. Of course this doesn't bother me too much as mine does the same.

Cheers

We've passed CG inspection twice and no one's ever said a thing..and =
they made a point to look at the head situation...
