Default Tug - ANNAPOLIS 3-20a.jpg

Brand new tug boat, only in service for 3 weeks when seen here making
her first run through the C & D Canal 3 weeks ago, with a loaded tank
barge . Designed with a shallow draft for transiting inland rivers .

Completed in late 2019, by the Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corporation of
Salisbury, Maryland (hull #131) as the Annapolis for the Vane Brothers
Company of Baltimore, Maryland.

She is the second Salisbury class towboat constructed for the Vane
Brothers Company, by Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corporation.

The tug is powered by two, Tier IV compliant, Caterpillar 3512 Diesel
engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, with
flanking rudder. She will be a twin screw towboat, rated at 3,000
horsepower
