Default Chuck's Place, an apology, and some good news!

JimH asked for some info from everyone on the various state's wide load

Apparently my response ****ed off the moderator, who soon thereafter
published a warning about bringing stuff from here to there (???).

So, I apologize to whomever I offended, JimH, I suppose.

It wasn't about your post - it was a different poster who made a
wholly, totally and globally inappropriate remark about JimH and the
nonsense that goes on in rec.boats that none of the other posters saw
because I got to it the second it was posted. It was deleted, the
member banned for 24 hours before anybody even knew it happened.

Let me repeat - it had nothing to do with you.. Which is exactly what
I was talking about separating the two groups - keep that crap over
here and not there.

I have no idea of what has transpired (although plenty of people have
volunteered the information) and frankly I don't care - what happens
between you and JimH here is between you and him here. Keep it off
boatingforum.

For the record, I took both of your posts at face question/answer
value because I had no idea of what had transpired between you here.

And, Tom has reinstated Harry at Chuck's Place! I guess his good behavior
over here has earned him the reinstatement. Way To Go, Harry!!

What happens here had nothing to do with there.

Let me repeat myself:

WHAT HAPPENS HERE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THERE.

I felt that if Harry wanted to participate and follow the rules as
I've stated three or four times, that was fine with me - he can do
what he wishes as long as he behaves himself and resists trying to be
clever. He's there anyway - I won't give away which recent joiners
are who, but he's not as smart as he thinks he is. He also has a
couple of "proxy" watchers which is highly amusing.

As I said, I'm a forgive and forget kind of guy. If he's that
interested in what goes on there that he has to try and spoof the
system, then why not just get it in the open. He knows the rules -
when they are broken, all the ids will be deleted not simply banned.

As far as I know, there has been nothing happening between JimH and I. I
don't respond to him or Harry, and I've not done so for quite a while now.
If people have told you that JimH and I have been going round and round,
they're wrong. I've said nothing to him.

I repeat, except for a reply to him in Chuck's Place, I've said nothing to
JimH.

For the record, I took both of your posts at face question/answer

For the record, NOTHING has transpired between US here!

And, Tom has reinstated Harry at Chuck's Place! I guess his good behavior
over here has earned him the reinstatement. Way To Go, Harry!!

I'm happy to see Harry has been following the rules over there. It was
obvious he was there anyway when he was describing posts which had been
made over there.

I think you are an upstanding individual, and appreciate your forgive and
forget attitude. I'm sure everyone is thrilled with your decisions.

Why don't you wash your dirty laundry in email, Herring?

Well, I just wish the people who are talking about all the interaction
between JimH and I would tell me! I don't talk to the guy.

I hope this isn't a subtle order to your men to go over and trash Chucks
Place again.
They did quite a job a few months ago when let loose after Harry, JimH and I
came back to rec.boats, confronting the instigators for conduct unbecoming
of an officer.
The whole idea of Chucks Place was that it would be a neutral safe port in a
stormy sea.

Frankly, other than the photos you posted there of one of your maritime
excursions, there's almost nothing of interest. I like discussions about
recreational boating that are informative or humorous. There isn't a
lot there in those categories. I tried a few times to get discussions
going, but the usual suspects managed to trash those threads, so I see
no reason to start up another one. There's another problem there, but I
don't want to upset anyone. :)

It's not, we'd all rather you, your master/lover/clone, and his
girlfriend JimH would go there and stay, and not trash this place
anymore. Remember when you vowed to do just that?

Whatever John - play your stupid games. I explained what happened and
as usual, you've completely distorted the intent and content of my
post to suit your ego driven paranoia.

I'm out - again.
