None of the soft bottom inflatables row very well - too much friction, not enough carry. You really need a RIB or something else with a rigid bottom to row decently. That presents a stowage problem of course unless you are prepared to tow it every where. The other issue is durability. You really need an inflatable made of hyplon fabric if you want it to last more than a few years. Achilles makes a soft bottom inflatable with a small motor mount which might meet your requirements if you need to roll it up. http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|215570|216319|295565&id=908932 or http://tinyurl.com/5rlbzk |

I have used one of these as a tender in Mahone Bay for the last four years. They
are very stable and with my 4 horse outboard tracks true because of the 3 large folding runners. Also ya can't hurt 'em. http://www.porta-bote.com/ Tim wrote: On Aug 14, 12:10 am, Wayne.B wrote: On Wed, 13 Aug 2008 17:27:59 -0700 (PDT), friend wrote: Has anyone actually used one of these Sevylor Tenders? They were expensive when our $ was only worth 62 cents US. Wonder what they cost now? |

Also needs far less power to plane, so there is a additional big savings on the engine for it. |
