An A stamped on the end of the prop shaft was an easy indicator that you had an Alpha gearset in a MR unit. Parts are ordered by unit serial number not model year. |

My 77 23' Marquis have a "MR" and what you said about alpha gears in a MR unit. I've heard that most MR and Alpha will interchange. |
