Great day today - man, plenty of striper action and I spent some time
crappie fishing - the crappie was unbelievable - non-stop.

The wind got up a little this afternoon when I got off the lake -
nothing drastic, but some of the locals were running for their lives
back to the ramp.

Sounds like it has plenty of water. Have a good trip.

We've had plenty of rain over the last three months, and the lake is
back up to about it's normal winter level. They'll only let it come
up another 2-3 feet this summer.

I'd sure like to hear the same thing about Falls Lake in NC. I'm about to
give up on the idea of moving to Wake Forest.

But, I'm glad to hear your lake is back up to par.

I have a small lake close to me that is electric motor only. Man, when
the crappie are on, it is incredble! If they are hitting like usual,
I'll call the wife and tell her to call the gang, it's fish fry night!

had a jack plate, I was convinced! We went out and played with it

Friend's boat is an Alumacraft 17' with a 135 Merc on it. It does alot
of good with that, but I'm thinking that if he had a 70 or under it
wouldn't see much difference. We were playing with it at about half
throttle and it didn't do much. My boat is lighter than his w/ a 135
