Are you using any USB devices that work properly? That's what's weird. The keyboard, mouse, external HD, Scandisk camera card reader, all work well. Only the hubs don't work. Have you tried plugging the hub into one of the USB ports that currently has a working device attached? The port you are trying to use could simply be bad.
