BAR wrote: Not really. You have a hatred for those who have views that do not exactly match yours. Why the hatred. I don't like what Johnson, Carter and Clinton did to this country but, I don't hate them for what they did, I don't wish them ill. You really truly are a simple-minded fool and your perceptions of what the citizens of this country want are worthless. Probably not true. But he is right about your hatred of people who disagree with you, krause. Why, you even publically stated you wished certain persons dead. Now if wishing death upon those who disagree with you isn't hatred, nothing is. To believe, as you do, that your "compassion" and 'charity' buys you influence with your diety is nothing more than a diety of your vain imagination. -- Charlie |

I don't fight against "the church" until it tries to shove itself in my life. Or, do like I do when the Jehovah's Witness' or Mormons show up at the door. I tell them I will listen to their pitch but, they first have to listen to my pitch to become a Catholic. Usually the say not thank you and get on their way. You really truly are a dumb foch. I am not talking here about the door to door church people. Enlighten me Mr. Genius! What is the difference between the President of the US saying God Bless and the guy knocking on your door with the intent on converting you to his religion? Neither of those events concern me. Ok, what specific events concern you? There are quite a few. Most of them concern churchies trying to force their beliefs on the rest of society. I'll bet with that hint, you can figure out one or two of them. Don't Mormon's and Jehovah's Witness' fall into that category? Let's see if you have any smarts... I don't care what religions do (within reason) within their houses of worship, nor do I care what believers do in their homes. I am only concerned when those religions or believers try to shove their beliefs onto my secular society. This is NOT a Christian nation, a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, et cetera. I don't want a bunch of Christian nut cases determining what is taught in public schools, when "life" begins, whether we should have abortions, what sort of stem cell research is ok, what stores can remain open on Sunday, et cetera. Got it now? I understand that you come across as a spoiled brat. If things are not the way you expect or want then they are wrong. It is not your secular society, it is our society. The majority of our society disagrees with your view of religion in the public square. This country was founded and formed by those who publicly professed a belief in God. You don't have to like you just have to accept it and live with it. Like it or not those "Christian nut cases" determine a lot of what happens in our society. Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooosh. I'm not talking about a profession of faith. D'uh. Sure you are. What is the differences between someone saying God Bless You and asking you if your have been saved? BTW, when I am asked if I have been saved I quickly respond back with yes I am saved, I am a Catholic. They quickly walk away. Just what the hell are you afraid of hearing and why can such a erudite word smith such as yourself come up with a retort that stops the asker dead in their tracks? You are not discussing what I am discussing. What are you discussing. You keep referring to they and them and for some reason you won't name them specifically. Using descriptions what group of "Christian nut cases" are you afraid of and why? I've explained it three times, in simple language. -- George W. Bush - the 43rd Best President Ever!- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - You have not given me one example where religeon has been shoved down your throat beyond general advertizing tactics similar to Fuller Brush, or any phone bank... No one has shoved anything down your throat, it is a hollow lie... You and Bert and one or two others seem incapable of understanding abstract thinking. This is not my fault or my problem. -- George W. Bush - the 43rd Best President Ever!- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Well then, bring the level down a notch for me. You know I am listening, and trying to catch up. It's not like you are pressed for time to the point you can't take 3 minutes and post a simple one just for me, I give you the time of day:) Who else has shoved religeon down your throat in your lifetime? I am pretty sure you have the time to answer that one, I addressed your last issue, throw me another..- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - And while you are at it, how do you feel about teachers being paid to intimidate kids in middleschool? My kid is in a class where the teacher constantly calls President Bush names, says republicans are stupid, and allows merciless attacks from the students toward anybody Mormon. My kid and a friend who is a Mormon in the class *and is scared to death to say anything in the class.. this is way more dangerous than a moment of silence. This teacher may soon be on the news as a couple of the kids are sick of it and may just take some cell phone footage....;)- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Sick of what, the teacher telling the truth? |
