The Recreational Products Division was sold to management in a levereged buy out with backing from British private equity firm administered by KPMG. It has no affiliation to Raytheon. Which is really too bad because Raytheon made some first rate equipment. Yeah they did, but the entire rec marine engineering staff came with the buy out. Don't know if they are still there though. Since it was a management buy-out and therefore there was some incentive for the company to "make it," maybe some did. In the usual conglomerate buy-out these days, the best thing smart employees usually can do is desert the stinking ship before the massive layoffs begin. I've actually seen a tee-shirt saying "Screw the New Corporate Owners Before They Screw Us!" It sounds like they are the kind of employee everyone wished would quit. |
