Bored again huh? No. Occupied on multiple levels at the moment. You understood where I was going with my comment about Raytheon. Yes. And admit it - you are bored. :) Speaking of bass guitars... I'm thinking about getting one of these. http://www.michaelkellyguitars.com/dragonfly.html What do you think? I thought you didn't like bass? Or, was that a thing du jour? ![]() Not what I asked - what do you think? I'm just thinking of getting something a little easier to play. I messed around with one of these yesterday and had a lot of fun with it. http://www.steelguitar.com/webpix/stdpix/d10ebapr.htm Don't know that I want to learn a whole new technique though. Kelly has a good reputation, and for acoustic instruments, Fishman electronics are highly regarded. But, there's one thing to consider with acoustic basses, and it's true regardless of the brand: When you're playing alone, it'll sound plenty loud to you, even without an amp. It's an illusion. It won't hold its own against other instruments, except maybe a flute. Bass needs more power to go anywhere significant. This won't be a problem for practicing alone, but if you ever expect to play with other people, you'll need an amplifier. I see a lot of these in use, especially with acoustic or upright bassists: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gallien-...mbo-103055...- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I got a nice Dean Markely pickup for acoustic, just stick it to the body and plug in the other end. |
