It's me, and I agree halfway. It's about 20% shirt and bad picture
angle.
But still, I saw that picture and said PHUQUE! This isn't good. Got back
to
hiking 3 miles a day on some outrageous hills, carrying 50 lbs in a
backpack
and 20 lbs in each hand for resistance. I've been in size 34 jeans since
1970, went to 35 two years ago. I will NOT continue in that direction.
Not.

I don't know how tall you are, but you should strive for no higher than
18 percent body fat. You'll live longer, and keep diabetes away. A
good thing.

15-16% would be better. I pack 13 and, at age 54, it's tough getting
lower unless you spend some time every day lifting followed by cardio.

Golf - walking.

A game for pansies. Sounds right, johnny.

You've walked 7000 yards with a golf bag on your bag full of clubs and
balls, right?

Try it, and then come and call names.

Oh, I won't crosspost this so I don't embarrass you in your 'real men'
group. Which is it, BTW?

Is that why you play it? For the weight lifting exercise?

My initial reason for even considering it was the idea of getting the
exercise. It's much more appealing than a treadmill.

No, I don't carry my bag, so I'm not into it for the weight lifting
exercise. I'm 6' 3.5" and weigh, as of yesterday, 196 lbs. So I'm not in
the shape you are.

I walk the course at least twice a week, usually three times a week. I play
with a couple guys that can't walk the whole way, so on those days I'll
ride the cart. But, I'll often grab a handfull of clubs and take off
walking. Depending on the course, I'll sometimes walk as they ride. Usually
it's no trouble keeping up.

So, your question about the 7000 yards with a bag full of clubs was
meaningless, since you don't carry it.

No, you were the one talking about walking with the weight on your back. I
was suggesting an alternative. I don't *need* to walk with a lot of weight
on my back. My doctor just pushes exercise, which I'm getting.

Doug, I'm not trying to be sarcastic or start a ****ing contest with you. I
saw the picture, I read your comments, I offered a way to get the exercise
the doctor suggested and do something enjoyable and challenging at the same
time.

I find golf to be a complete snore. I've tried it. And, it's certainly not
strenuous enough to have any real value to me.
