Absolutely...like MIT Professor Richard Lindzen I'm not sure what your point is. It's my understanding that Lindzen is a skeptic, not a denier. Skeptics in any scientific debate are a good thing, but as the body of science grows, some skeptics can become flat earthers. I can't say with any certainty that describes Lindzen, but you, on the other hand . . . ;-) Personally, global warming doesn't much concern me, but I do feel it's a symptom that our energy and resource intensive, consumer paradigm will shortly be dead in the water. |

I can't say with any certainty that describes Lindzen, but you, on the other hand . . . ;-) Science appears to contain a tremendous amount of this is what we believe right now. What is believed to be true in 10 years may be quite a bit different. Personally, global warming doesn't much concern me, but I do feel it's a symptom that our energy and resource intensive, consumer paradigm will shortly be dead in the water. Global warming is a cycle that is "proved" by the geological record. Also, the other planets are experiencing their own global warming that is coincident with the Earth's global warming. Two planets, Mars and Earth, are warming at the same rate and only one of these planets is inhabited by humans. On the planet with the humans it is believed that the warming is due, in a large part, to the humans. What is the cause of the warming on the planet without humans? You can't look at global warming in a vacuum, you have to look at the entire solar system for the cause. |
