![]() "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Which model did you buy? Upside, downside? I think it's an E-25. About a thousand bucks. It's not as described on the Sole website though, in that it has 20 levels of resistance (web site says 16) and also has the heartrate monitor feedback programs. They are rated very highly in the reviews. It's very quiet and smooth compared to some others that I tried before purchasing. The only downside so far was simply getting used to it. I'd say I have a moderate user program that I use .... resistance increases from about 7 to 13, levels there for a while, then decreases again. After 30 minutes I am sweating bullets. One thing I learned. You need more than the minimum resistance programmed, otherwise your legs start going a mile a minute. You can also reverse the direction of your leg movement, but I haven't tried that yet. Eisboch |

My sister lives in Kissimee, and I can't get though to her. alot of Communication problems. The news shows neighborhoods wiped out. but miraculously, no deaths, but some reports of minor injuries. It really looks horrible on the TV. |

It really looks horrible on the TV. What I've been able to glean so far is that the worst of the damage is north and north-east of Orlando. Lady Lake is about 50 miles north of Orlando. I'm only one mile from one of the major destruction areas, around our house only a few leaves and palm fronds in the year. Never know something so horrible happened so close. |

![]() "JimH" wrote in message ... Although she can't use one because of her leg condition my wife has been trying to get me over to an elliptical as she says it is less stressful on the knees. She joined a local health club last year and says the ellipticals are more popular than the treadmills. I think I agree. I am not a runner and never have been, but I can go at a faster speed on the elliptical and maintain it. The same speed on the treadmill would require a jog. With your back issues ... I'd seriously consider an elliptical. Much smoother. Eisboch |

"JLH" wrote in message .. . Wow! Congratulations. Which treadmill did you get? -- ***** Have a super day! ***** John H The treadmill is an older, commercial gym type (CRX) that was in the house when we bought it. It's not as up-to-date as some of the newer ones, but is rugged, inclines to 10 degrees and calculates speed, calorie burn rate, etc. I bought a Sole elliptical and use it as well because even with a wall mounted TV, the same workout can get boring if you use the same machine all the time. Ellipticals are a relatively new product for Sole, but they have been making treadmills for home and commercial use for many years. They are the exclusive supplier to Hyatt hotels. Eisboch Thanks for the info. BTW, I couldn't see the 'juice bar' in your gym! Nice setup. When we move out of this area, there *will* be an exercise room in the house. -- ***** Have a super day! ***** John H |

![]() "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Is that a see-through mirror? :} I have to go on record. I didn't install the mirrors or the gym. The previous owner was a jock (pro hockey player, according to him) and he installed the gym. We added a hot tub, the elliptical and the dummy. Eisboch |
