You can get above ground pools very cheaply, and you do see them in the
cheaper neighborhoods and trailer parks.

Other places, too... And the quality above ground pools are a good
idea, too.... it doesn't lower the resale of your property and isn't a
big insurance issue.... not to mention zoning and taxes.....

Also, may make the house more saleable. Having a pool eliminates about 50%
of the buyers.

would cost to have it filled with garden soil and turned into a planter.

Years ago a neighbor did that. F'n idiot. Adopted 13 Ethiopian kids and
instead of just hiring a swimming instructor, filled in the pool.

in-laws in Pleasant Hill had one installed. Would you like me to put
