taken out and strung up by my nads, nailed to a tree.

Do I get on your case a lot for making OT political posts. Yeah.
Suppose that could be because you do it a lot?

What about being fair about it then, Chuck? Be an ass to Tom every time
HE posts off topic. It's odd how you pick and choose who to **** on for
posting off topic. JohnH can post off topic all day long, not a word
said by you.

I'll type a bit more slowly this time and see if I'm able to
communicate my entire thought.

There's a difference between Tom's multiple OT posts everyday, (such as
"I got stung by a bee") and your cut n pastes of controversial
political crap. Some people think we all care what they had for
breakfast that morning, and use the NG like a blog. You post stuff here
primarily to pick fights, (evidence, once the fight starts you join in
with a will and never again refer to the topic you cut and pasted- it
becomes all about whether or not you're an asshole, whether or not
somebody else might be one, and whether or not your name is Kevin).
You're don't seem all that passionately commited to the causes and
principles you promote, you're simply adopting progressive positions in
order to evoke a reaction from outraged conservatives.

Try posting "I bought a new TV remote control this morning!" or some
other OT stuff not intended to start a fight and you'll get no more
grief from me than do most of the guys posting their local weather
reports, the score of the high school football game, or tips on how to
change the blade on a John Deere rotary lawn mower.

What is appropriate here? What does all of your above ranting have to
do with boats?

It has to do with the health and welfare of the boating NG. Something
you don't give a schlitz about, judging from your consistent actions.
Care to compare boating content contributed to the NG in the last 90
days? How about the number of OT political posts, name calling
sessions, etc? I thought not.

How are the sisters treating you lately.
I'd suggest a quality hand lotion as a gift to them this Christmas.
The gift that keeps on giving!

Why not? OT is OT, whether it's political or football.

Just like a crime is a crime, whether it's jaywalking or serial rape
and murder.

I express an opinion when I harrass the political trolls. It may be
news to some, but we don't live in a black and white world and
everything, including opinions, doesn't need to be at one extreme end
of the spectrum or the other. The guys posting daily drivel about
benign nonsense are not deliberately trying to disrupt the NG. Some of
them do post about boats, once in a while, as well.

There has always been OT posting here.... just like hanging around the
marina... not ALL talk will be about boats.

The problem arises when it gets ugly and personal.... you wouldn't
refer to another person's family or the size of their anus at a marina
without expecting some physical injury. Here, one can be anonymous and
everybody is only here electronically... thus no physical consequences
of bad behavior.

IMHO, OT isn't intrinsically bad, but it can be bad....

Bingo. If everybody posted as if they were standing in front of the person
to whom they are addressing ... everything would be fine.
