I'm not Harry, but that is funny.
Funnier yet is the fact that global warming is nothing more than inept
scientists looking for gov grant money.
Remember the holes in the ozone layer over the poles? All doom and gloom!
In the 70's it was the coming ice age!
Now the new rage seems to be CO2 causing the oceans to turn into acid!
Back to global warming. Yes, we are in a warming trend and have been for
the last 18 thousand years. Since the last ice age. The warming trend was
probably triggered by, yup, mastodon gas and, of course, caveman fires to
roast the mastodon!
On the serious side, it's all mother nature (not humans) and their ain't
nothing anyone can do about it.

While driving the other day I heard a report on the radio that some
researchers studying global warming have discovered a potential cause that
outweighs all the other theories. The claim is wild fires, or more
accurately the fact that we have developed effective ways to combat and
extinquish them. Uncontrolled, a wildfire will burn until it naturally runs
out of fuel in the area it is burning, or is naturally extinquished. That
area won't seriously burn again for many years.
The study by the researchers claim that by artifically extinquishing the
fires, we are inadvertantly allowing more fires to start and the report
cited a marked increase in the number of wild fires over the years and their
corrolation to the average earth temperature increase during the same time
period.

Please show any and all evidence you have that global warming is "all
mother nature (not humans)".

Don't bother. Really. You know what you're dealing with here.

warming.

The right, of course, is *dedicated* to the status quo for all sorts of
reasons, including the inability to admit error, the possibility that we
might want to and have to redirect and change some of our habits, and, of
course, because it has its collective head stuck up George Bush's ass or
in the sand.

That's all there is to it.

Never mind. Here's some major fuel for future comedy. First, a bit of
history:

"The only thing I know about Slovakia is what I learned first-hand from your
foreign minister, who came to Texas."-To a Slovak journalist as quoted by
Knight Ridder News Service, June 22, 1999. Bush's meeting was with Janez
Drnovsek, the prime minister of Slovenia.

Now, from today's NYT:

Polish President to Appoint His Twin as Prime Minister
BERLIN, July 9 - Already weakened by coalition squabbles and disagreements
with the European Union, President Lech Kaczynski of Poland announced over
the weekend that on Monday he would appoint his twin brother and longtime
political partner, Jaroslaw, to succeed Prime Minister Kazimierz
Marcinkiewicz, according to the Polish news agency PAP.

If only we could arrange to have a microphone hidden in his lapel when he
first meets these two guys together! But, the photo op afterward might be
equally precious. "My momma makes a mean jaroslaw, and she won't give us the
recipe..."
