OT- Power outage in NY. Coincidence?

If the terrorists could knock out electic power without being caught
wouldn't this be an effective way to blackmail us? Why would they
need to do other stuff?

Absolutely.

Two points:

1. If the power outage was terrorism the USA could be quickly defeated
in this way alone. But I don't think it was terrorism, I hope not
anyway.

2. Why are we talking about this in rec.boats? :-)
