I was hoping Harry would crank up his creativity (at least use it for something
other than political rants and bashing others) and come up with some nice
stories about his "lobsta boat". He's posted a few about the Parker, but none
(that I've seen) about the "big" one. C'mon Harry, Farley Mowatt can do it...

I'd far rather read fictional boating stories than politics!

Last night I went out to dinner with a buddy at a restaurant on the ICW
just outside the Miami-Dade County line, ate jumbo stone crab claws, and
watched as one 60'-80' yacht after another passed by. As we were
watching, Lloyd, I thought of you and your efforts to rebuild your junky
floating tubs and derelict boats, and smiled as I had a vision of you
saving $2.00 on a new holding tank for your sailboat by superglueing
together old waxed milk cartons.

Jim, I wish you and your wife the best, even if you don't get back on the
water.

Don, it is nice to see someone with compassion towards his fellow man, even
if you disagree on issues.

So don't tell me about my lack of a boat right now pal. My wife comes
first. Something you may have a hard time understanding.

First time reading this thread. Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope
she and you the best.

Hey, as long as we're talking about "Fantasy" boats, lets hear what
some of us fantasize about. For me, it would be a 36 foot Grand Banks
tri-cabin. Then to complete the fantasy, I would spend each summer
harbor hopping in the Great Lakes.

(How ya doin', Butch??)

Hey Norm, how are you?

I'm doing good. My dad's boat is still sitting in the side yard on the
trailer. I am waiting for the temps to stop hitting 32* at night, so I can
fire up the boat with the motor flusher and get it ready.

Since we are all still fantasizing about boats, here's an oldy but goody....

http://members.aol.com/ammonc/1976waterski.jpg

Check out the photo. Yes, that is me waterskiing in the middle. It was July
4th, 1976. All of us "kids" did a waterski show back then. The boat is a
Berkley Avenger(?) with a monster 427ci V-8 engine in the back end. The first
go around, we had 8 of us simultaneously get up behind the boat. When swinging
around the lake's bay, 5 dropped off, and we (for some reason) hung on for
another swing around the bay!

What a boat.... The ultimate in a jet boat. That thing woud take off so fast,
I can remember getting pulled up so hard and so fast, I got pulled right out
of the rubber boots of my slalom ski!!!!

Wow, memories!
