Default Sea Ray Boats, Mid-Atlantic Dealers Announce Post-Hurricane Recovery Initiatives

Sea Ray Boats, Mid-Atlantic Dealers Announce Post-Hurricane Recovery
Initiatives
Thursday October 2, 1:41 pm ET

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Following the devastation
created by Hurricane Isabel, Sea Ray Boats and its Mid-Atlantic dealers have
announced several initiatives designed to help local boating communities
begin their recoveries.
Hurricane-related losses to recreational boats alone were more than $150
million, according to BoatUS.com , an industry organization. As a testament
to the storm's fury, damage was widespread in the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac
River watersheds, both far north of Isabel's North Carolina landfall.

"We are particularly grateful that all the employees in our dealer network
survived the storm safely," says Cynthia M. Trudell, president of Sea Ray
Boats. "Boats and marinas can be replaced, but people cannot. At the same
time, we wish to help the boating community to get back on its feet as
quickly as possible and we are prepared to aid in several ways."

Sea Ray's post-hurricane support includes:

Sea Ray's five Mid-Atlantic dealers will sponsor free clinics in October to
help boaters better recover from storm-related damage. Expert mechanics,
fiberglass specialists, and surveyors will lead the clinics and will be
available to answer boaters' questions regarding the maintenance and repair
of their boats. In addition to this expert advice, Sea Ray and the
participating dealers will donate $50 to the Red Cross on behalf of each
clinic attendee.
For boat owners who may have suffered a loss of or damage to their boat, Sea
Ray will pay up to $5,000 towards the owner's insurance deductible with the
purchase of a new Sea Ray. Sea Ray also will make a donation of $100 to the
American Red Cross Hurricane Isabel Disaster Relief Fund for each boat sold
through this program by December 31, 2003.
For general information on any of these programs, boaters are encouraged to
contact their participating dealers. Sea Ray dealers participating in this

Atlantic boating community in getting back on the water to begin enjoying
the beautiful natural assets this part of the country offers."
