As you can see from their volume, 320,000, that the outboard industry is very small compared to other businesses. Wow, Bill. Only 320,00 *total* units. How many 225 four-strokes are sold in a year? Out of that 320,000, the news release stated that around 40% are sold in the US, so that would be around 128,000 units of all ratings from 2hp to 300hp. The 200-225 would be a small percentage of that. A while back, industry figures mentioned that the average hp of outboards sold in the US was around 90.
