Not a problem... I'm happily stupid. You can be returned to the bit-bucket, with a click of the mouse, as easily as that idiot, K that stands on her head and hates liberals, dealers, manufacturers, and unions, but thinks businesses should perpetually and unconditionally underwrite purchases of all used items.... I thought a year or so was enough to give you kiddies room to grow up, perhaps I was wrong..... No no you were definitely wrong about me Gene, but hey you must be used to that you're wrong here just about all the time:-), whatever please immediately put me back in the bucket, I don't want you any more than you want me. Great done deal & thanks, don't go being a Krause now; remember we're done:-) I don't like being verballed by the likes of you either, I've made it clear about 4 times in this thread alone that I'm happy for the dealer not to warrant the product if indeed the dealer has no responsibility (as seems so) but I still defend the thread starters right to complain when he got dumped for complaining. Just my opinion or course but should be more of it I say; then they'd learn to treat people properly. Well OK OK:-) some might; most won't:-) Anyway bye Gene you take care & remember not to go out without your head protection on. I also suspect you better give it more than just another year before you try me again, what??? say at least 10 yrs; Save please don't hesitate if you need my open unbiased opinion to help you "if" your way too low freeboard transom with poorly designed outboard well inclusion (what??? you saved a few bucks on short shaft engines??? surely not???) sinks "your" GW:-) Oops my mistake I do sincerely apologise, I should have said as it quietly fills up by the time you notice it will definitely roll over, so assuming your dictionary is still dry you can check it & tell the rescuers it's a "capsized" GW; is that OK now??? Subject: Boston Whaler or Grady White?
From: "NOYB" I've never been there, but there's a place in the Keys called Robbie's where the tarpon literally eat out of your hand right at the dock. Fishing there would be a *huge* no-no. Same in Key West. It was fun to hook one up on heavy line with the drag locked down and watch them jump 10 feet in front of you a couple of times then unhook them and let them swim away very green. There is a difference between informed and ignorant. Unfortunately you don't seem to recognize it. It's also unfortunate that any knowledge on the subject of boats you may have is buried and far over shadowed by your ignorance. So sad. My sympathies too those who may have only you as an adult role model. -- MikeG Heirloom Woods www.heirloom-woods.net |

From: "NOYB" This year, the trick was to get the tarpon up and revived before a 15 foot hammerhead snatched him from you. 15 feet! Nice fish story. Not a fish story. The shark is known locally by the name "Old Hitler"...but most people consider him to be around 18 feet...not 15 feet. LOL, he's been know as "Old Hitler" for about 50 + years now. If there really was just one "Old Hitler", that would not only make it perhaps the biggest hammerhead in the world but for sure the oldest. LOL The joke I used to tell at Miller's was, you could tell which Hammerhead was the real "Hitler" by the O2 bottle he was carrying with him along with all the seeing eye Remoras. http://outdoorsbest.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=272047 This isn't some internet goofball bull****ting you. The story I posted is not BS. Magic Hook (aka--Capt. Rick Featherstone) is one of the most respected guides in Southwest Florida. He's been on George Poveromo's ESPN2 show, and has lectured at Poveromo's Salt Water Series Seminars. He's also co-authored articles in several top fishing magazines. Yeah, you're right, a fishing guide would never exaggerate a fish story. LOL "18' long, 5 or 6' wide hammer, body around the gills was about 4' thick. Dorsal was 4'. I have no clue on weight but a wild guess is 800" 800lb? Gee, he's only off by, oh, 800-1000lb or so. If the fish really was 18 feet long that is. Agreed. Or, was the shark 15 feet or less and he was right on? :-) But you disputed the 15'-shark-snatching-tarpon claim that I posted? For what it's worth the worlds record Great Hammerhead was caught right here in Sarasota and it ONLY weighed 991lb. You post seemed to make it out like 15 foot Hammerheads were an everyday occurrence around here. But the fact is, sadly, they aren't. I've personally seen a 12-footer cruising a wreck about 25 miles off of Marco...and I've heard of several in the 12+ foot range snatching tarpon from anglers off of FMB, and in Boca Grande Pass. |
NOYB,
According to this Maryland web site, the record Hammerhead catch was 191 lbs for a scalloped 8/20/93, and 165 lbs for a smooth. They were taken by Ocean City. Didn't say what the length was. http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries...rt/record.html I know one time when fishing from a party boat off of Tarpon Springs a hammerhead surfaced that was much heavier than 99 lbs. Sure looked all of 15 feet. Near everybody took a step back from the rail. :-) Paul "NOYB" wrote in message ... "LaBomba182" wrote in message ... "LaBomba182" wrote in message ...
