No matter how you slice it, this American citizen asked a question
designed to find out if George Bush can admit mistakes when he
makes them. It's an important trait for a leader. This woman, no
matter where she got the idea, felt it's a good enough point to
ask about. And George Bush in effect told her she was wrong
for asking that question.

Regardless of the source of the question. Any answer confirming mistakes
would have been taken out of context and been in an DNC sponsered commercial
the next day running all over the country.

It would have been political suicide to answer in the affirmative.
