Ps What name three of your major ****ups in the last 3 years and what
you did about them Gary.
Well, Wally, I don't owe you or this public forum any explanation for my
mistakes. George Bush does - because he's asking to work for us. ~ However
I'm willing to admit mistakes and the specifics about them. For one, see the
thread I wrote a few days ago about the shaft that fell out of my boat. It
was a mistake on my part (not checking everything carefully) that caused it
to happen.
Here's another mistake I made: I had an administrator password on the
server of a company I was contracting for. I left a computer logged in
as the administrator and some employees found information they shouldn't
have had. It wasn't catastrophic, but it was serious. I didn't have to admit
that mistake to my customer -- there were plenty of other people that had
the password. Had I said, "I don't know anything about it." They would
never have know who had ****ed up. But I told them. I admitted it because
it was the right thing to do. It saved them time in trying to figure out the
puzzel. It saved other people the embarrasment of being asked if they'd
done something wrong. And while it damaged my reputation a little I think
it also helped it a little. They realized I was a stong and honest enough
person
to be honest with them. ~ My guess is they know that people will, from time
to time, make mistakes. Hiring one that never makes a mistakes is next
to impossible. But hiring one willing to admit & correct a mistake when
then make it is very helpful.
I've also been wrong on factual information and policitcal positions I've
held. I've changed my mind on some positions. I won't go into them here
because this post is getting long.
I could ask you your mistakes. But I really don't care. The point isn't
whether you or I makes mistakes. The point is the George Bush
does make them and he doesn't seem able to even RECOGNIZE
that he has. This is a serious few points against him in my book.
