Sad that a fella like Trump is our best hope for a future this election
cycle. The democrats should scour the party for a formidable candidate for
2024. Joe will be a 3 time loser this year. 78, 08, and 20. Three strikes
you're out.

===

It is sad, and I view him as not only a threat to constitutional
democracy, but also a threat to the Republican party. Moderate
republicans need to take back the party from the lunatic fringe. I'm
willing to support Biden just to send that message.

That's a bit extreme, don't you think?

===

Not in my opinion. I view Biden as a moderate who is not given to
extreme ideology. Harris is an intelligent woman with a track record
of being tough on crime. I'm hoping that between the two of them they
could tone down the extremist and divisive rhetoric. That could go a
long way towards healing and uniting the country.

From the National review article.

"Hillary Clinton is 70. She, 69-year-old Elizabeth Warren, 75-year-old
Joe Biden, and 77-year-old Bernie Sanders are the party’s liveliest,
most dynamic figures, right up there with its Capitol Hill leaders:
78-year-old Nancy Pelosi, 79-year-old Steny Hoyer, and 85-year-old
Dianne Feinstein, who is running for reelection. If the party is going
to reimplement the New Deal, why shouldn’t it be led by people who
lived through it?"

You have to ask how much will they do that they haven't been able to
do in around 100 years of combined public service?

If you had had to put up with the total resistance of the Democrats in Congress,
who give not a **** for this country, what frame of mind would you be in? For
one who has seen everything he tries to do thwarted by Pelosi and Schumer only
because the president is Donald Trump, I think he's done pretty damn well. Trump
was never given a chance to 'unite and reach consensus'. He was facing a
'resist' movement before he took the oath.

Pelosi is holding up another aid package. Why? Because Trump wants it. Amen.
**** 'em, I say. And Trump agrees. I don't blame him.

===

Much of that resistance is because of the way he comports himself,
constantly playing to his base instead oy trying to build grass roots
consensus. It's called leadership, and the lack of it will be his
downfall.

His leadership wants, but Nancy and Chuck, seem to be working for the DNC
and a single party system. Not looking at what is good for the country.
As to Biden, I think he lacks any major thinking power, and I disliked
Kamala when she was the state AG. Seemed to be in the bottom 4 of all the
AG’s. Her tough on crime seemed to **** off a lot of Blacks here. Going
for major time, for minor crimes. Appease the tough on crime group, and no
consideration of crime or results, also, when they had Proposition 8, the
one man one women description of marriage, she refused to defend it in the
Supreme Court. Her job was to represent the people of the state of
California, not her personal viewpoint. Should have been disbarred for
that since she did not recuse herself. I did not vote for Prop 8, but the
majority did. Just like any attorney, defend your client, even if you hate

It seems to be working for him so far. The test is in November but his
fans are going to show up.

BTW did you see we had the largest boat parade in history, rivaling
Dunkirk and D Day the other day right here.
It was a Trump event ... 11,000 boats according to the Snooze Press.

Most of that resistance was there the day he won the election, if not before.

She certainly flip-flopped on her stance on crime to fit the current political situation. The police didn't like her because she refused to go after a cop killer with the death penalty. She also tried to cover up the theft and mishandling of evidence by someone in the DA's office which resulted in nearly 1000 cases being thrown out. And she created a public database to highlight "police injustice".

She's way to liberal, and Joe is far too feeble-minded. It's almost like the DNC wants to lose.

Does not matter. She and Biden claim she overcame being black to get an
education. Her mom is a multi PhD, and she went to mostly private schools.
She claims the republicans were bad for stopping forced busing. One of
the worst things we did to minorities. Instead of spend the money on
better teachers in their neighborhoods, and better schools, they moved them
to schools where they were at least a year behind in knowledge.

I agree that the way he comports himself could well be his downfall. That's a
shame, because I dread what Biden may do to the country.
