Volquartsen threaded the barrel, relocated the front site, and included a thread keeper, all for about $100, with a quick turnaround. The red dot I have mounted on the rail is a decent on, and doesn't weigh much, but I think I need one that is smaller. Also, I have to cut the mounting rail back by about 1-1/2"...I'm not going to mount anything but a red dot on this pistol. This is the 512 model Ruger, not the 22/45 model. -- Proud to be a Liberal. |
