Wow, good question... I think sometime back in the 80's. If you want to see something closer to "stock cars" there are several new forms of racing designed to be more limited in modifications, such as the truck racing and local stuff like "late model sportsman" divisions. Like I said, many of these are more limited in order to allow folks to race that don't have a quarter million a week for an engine.. |
