They pick up our 'horticulture' stuff weekly also. No limit to the number of bags that I know of.
I've had 25-30 bags of leaves out there at a time, they get 'em all. If I have a large amount of
heavy stuff I can call for a special pickup...get two free ones a year. They send out a truck with a
clamshell and pick it up.

No complaints about the trash service, but they wait too long to start the streetside leaf
vacuuming. By the time of the first pickup, about 3/4's of the leaves have already been raked up,
bagged, and put out with the regular trash.

Stuff grows like crazy here.
We end up with a lot more than just bags of leaves. I get in trouble
now and then that my bundles may be over 50 pounds each.

When they are in a good mood, they will just take small stacks of
loose sticks, other times they demand that they are bagged or baled.
There doesn't seem to be any pattern.
I did make up one of those double can deals (a 30 gal can with the
bottom cut out in a regular can) so you can sleeve the bags and jam
the stuff in.
Using drum liners you can get them pretty full ;-)
Usually after a couple of weeks of 49.999 pounds bags and bales, they
want the loose piles again.

We can put grass clippings in the trash, leaves have to be bagged or
left at the side of the road for the town to pick up. I don't have a lot
of problem with that as I know they do actually have about a 20 acre
area in town where they put them in maintained piles and make mulch.
Town folks have access all year you can bring your own leaves if you
miss the trucks or the leaves fall late, or you can go get mulch too...
Just have to get the key from the office.
