Greg's water is exceedingly skinny however and consequently holds less heat. On the other hand, he's a tad farther south. Inland from here it happens once in a while, and also 20 or 30 miles to the north. As you drive north a short distance there is a very noticable change in the predominant vegetation as you cross the frost line. Before my dad went into the service in 1943, he got a job in Tampa working in a ship yard as an apprentice electrician. When he got off the train in Tampa Fl. it was snowing. Rare, but it happened. |
