LOL! Yeah, thanks, Harry. That's a real side splitter for sure. Hey
this one's pretty good too.. It's hilarious watching people grab for
straws...

You don't think it is funny that some bat**** crazy religious school
wants its girl students to dress properly in case their residential
buildings catch on fire? I suppose if prudishness is your driving
force,
it is better for the girls to be burned alive than to be seen in their
jammies.

Don't you think it's funny that a high powered and supposedly
respected Senator would stoop so low to make up, if not believe
ridiculous claims to overcoat a tragedy?

the testimony refuted her claim.

What I can't figure out is why the Republicans are working so hard to
try to make a scandal about the deaths of four people in a dangerous
country. Your boy Bush, after all, started wars under false pretenses
that killed more than 4000 Americans and the GOP response was "stuff
happens."

Meanwhile, there's a school run by bat**** crazy religious people who
want girls to pause to dress properly if their dorm catches on fire.
D'oh. I'm sure the crazies are misinterpreting some part of the bible,
eh?

What's funny to me is that 21st Century christians believe their
bible, "the word of god," is a book edited in the 17th Century from
16th Century translations of about 8,000 contradictory copies of 4th
Century scrolls that claim to be copies of lost letters written in the
1st Century.

That's right. The oldest manuscripts available were written down
hundreds of years after the last apostle died...8,000 manuscripts, no
two alike.

But the crew of King James didn't use any of these, anyway. They
edited previous translations and created a version that their king and
their parliament would approve.

Belief in god is a concept an agnostic like me can understand and
appreciate. Belief in a holy book "written down" in the 17th Century
to please a king? Is that faith or insanity?

Nice diversion attempt. Next time answer the man or STFU, deadbeat.

Years of the Bush Recession plus wasting public money on private charter
schools erodes the funds available for public schools.

You and O'Bama think alike. Throwing money at problems and enacting laws
often do nothing to fix the problems. But that seems to be all that you
great thinkers can come up with.

Both seem to think giving union teachers more money makes them better teachers. What horse****.

I never understood how charter schools "waste money".
They actually spend a lot less per student than the public school
(they only get FTE) and usually get better results.

If a charter school fails, it gets closed. If a public school fails,
we just throw more money at it and hope it gets better. They seldom
do.because there is no fundamental change in how they do things and
incompetent people are still "fire proof".

I've read a lot of reports about charter schools. I'm not impressed for
a lot of reasons, including the facts that they tend to cherry pick
their students, they don't have to deal with "difficult" students, there
have been interesting shenanigans with standardized testing, they many
times are church-related, and they suck resources away from the public
schools.

Public schools are not failing from lack of funding. They are
failing from lack of parental committment to the educational process.
When sports and student "self esteem" are a schools top priorities,
the parents are inevitably to blame.

You bet! Parents use the school as a day care and nothing else.
