Default 1st time boat owner getting insurance

"Schoonertrash" wrote...
I just insured with Boats US. A very pleasant experience. None of the
usual stuff about .. .too old, too little, too big etc. etc. etc. And the
cost is excellent!

I just got stuck with the "too little" excuse from Boat/US -- and I already have
one boat insured with them!

I tried to insure my new Adirondack Guideboat. Since it "doesn't have an
adequate means of propulsion," they declined to insure it. They just don't
insure rowing boats! I wrote back and asked why not (about a month ago), and
haven't yet gotten a response.

USAA had no objections, though...
