Oh well, at least I won't have to feed 'em and shovel poop!

I'm not hoping, Herring. I'm just expecting it. You seem to have a
cavalier attitude towards firearms.

Oh, and since you seem to like syrupy patriotism:

I didn't escape the draft. Like most young men back then, I wasn't drafted.
And I wasn't so dumb that I would enlist to fight the people of Vietnam or
for that corrupt regime in Saigon.

The Sig 250 I shot was a Polymer frame. They might be in Alloy or
Steel now, the one I worked with was Polymer.

"When SIG introduced the P250 series of polymer framed, modular
pistols in 2009, the marketing hype surrounding those guns made it
easy for potential customers to forget that SIG had already been
making polymer guns in the same calibers for a decade. It seemed like
the SIG SP2022 was destined to be one of the best-kept secrets of
pistol world...."

I think the new one is 'Gen 2', from what I've read. It's metal framed.

I know you were too smart to get drafted, enlist, or have anything to do with the military except
work for that general in Vietnam.

Remember telling us about that? Were you over there protesting? Jane Fonda in disguise?

I wasn't "too smart" to get drafted, Herring. I simply wasn't drafted.
Most young men my age were not drafted. You knew that, right? There was
no reason to enlist; I didn't believe the bull**** about Vietnam, and I
had no reason to want to kill the people of Vietnam.

I spent a month as a reporter and then six months later, about six
months in Vietnam, but as a civilian employee of the Department of
Defense. My job had nothing to do with killing anyone for any reason.
