Kind of funny when a mook who barely graduated high school and didn't have the smarts to get into a community college -that would be you- tries to denigrate Carl Sagan. Sagan earned a doctorate in astrophysics from the University of Chicago when that really meant something. You were a grunt in the marines. -- Want to discuss recreational boating and fishing in a forum where personal insults are not allowed? http://groups.google.com/group/rec-boating-fishing |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ5u-...layer_embedded As George Carlin would say, just more bull****. But at least Carl Sagan got the real critical cause, population. With all the green knobs in the world, and all the bull****, funny how the greenies don't go after Japan's deliberate washing of radioactivity into the Pacific Ocean or population but support government tax on your gas and ass. But there is no money in radiation leaks and population birth control. Politically unpopular. Society as we know it, be it economic, natural disasters or massive riots in whole nations, our society is going to have to loose freedoms or get into a war of worldly proportions. And the war will be for food and resources. -- Government isn't the solution to the bad economy, it is the problem. |

The real problems are two fold: 1) Our own social stupidity as a species, over population, war mongering, debt, irrational behaviors and greed. 2) Some meteor or asteroid could end it all, like the dinosaurs. The least of our problems is CO2, as in the most bio diverse time in earths history, carbon and temperatures were considerably higher than today. That coal, oil and other carbon didn't get there by itself, it was once all living mater and in the atmosphere. More real issues like Japanese plutonium in the Pacific get ignored. As does our out of control birth rates. -- Government isn't the solution to the bad economy, it is the problem. |
