I wonder if that is what is behind the obvious hatred of those on the far right here for those who do not share their beliefs. That those of us who do not share your political beliefs, beliefs you believe are universal, make you nervous, at least subconsciously, and you strike out at us. Wow, I didn't know that voicing an opposing opinion showed a sign of hateful paranoia. Why don't you leave the 'striking ' to JPS and Frogwatch. Well that really couldnt' be fair, because Frog actually does put forth a boating post occasionally. |

Paranoia implies persecution, someone or something is "out to get you." I think Paul was referring to internalized demons, that is, "I believe in X. But he doesn't. Why doesn't he? It should be obvious. It is to me. But wait, if he doesn't believe it, maybe it is worth doubting. I'll compensate by trying to slam him to the mat." That sort of thinking. :) No threat from the outside, just inner doubts. |

I strike because I don't suffer fools lightly and there are a gaggle of fools frequenting rec.boats. Most of them are in my bozo bin but I still occassionally see their comments. Most of these idiots supported Bush's wars, think Obama is a muslim, think liberals are out to destroy the country. They deserve a good thrashiing for their willful ignorance. I'm standing by to oblige. There are plenty here who I also disagree with but they're not prickly assholes flinging wild statements. I enjoy those exchanges because they can and have expanded my own thinking. And, as far as boats are concerned, there are many who have significantly more experience than I so most of my interest is in listening rather than spouting. |

Interesting, but a lot of those experienced boaters, are deemed as 'prickly a$$holes' by a few of your compatriots due to their opposing political opinions. isn't that criteria also balanced into your consideration? |

You don't have a bozo bin. Most of these idiots supported Bush's wars, think Obama is a muslim, think liberals are out to destroy the country. They deserve a good thrashiing for their willful ignorance. I'm standing by to oblige. The same wars that Obama has increased the troop levels. Decreased combat troops to zero in Iraq. Increase them in Afg. which is where they should have been to begin with. Is Gitmo closed? Did Bush authorize torture? That's the problem. Are the detainees at Gitmo being tried in Military Tribunals or Civilians courts? Soon to be yet again. There are plenty here who I also disagree with but they're not prickly assholes flinging wild statements. I enjoy those exchanges because they can and have expanded my own thinking. You suffer from from severe paranoia as Harry explained. You're delusional. Except when it comes to fine German screw drivers, which you are the expert. |
