On 1-Aug-2010, Jim wrote: All you wannabe "businessmen" are in for it, just like everybody else. The gravy train has done gone by. Keep what you scooped up warm. Won't be no more for you unless you work hard for it. Them stealing-the-gravy days are over. Only the big shots can score free gravy now. Best get used to it. Labor (design, engineering, R & D, management and even factory rats) will not be needed again unless there is demand for domestic product, regardless of whether the entrepreneurs are Chinamen, Indians, Mexicans or American. Domestic product demand will not happen until there is wage and lifestyle equilibrium with China, India and Mexico, or if North Americans suddenly refuse to buy everything Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The only incentive to produce in North America is when freight costs make it prohibitive to ship from overseas. Only the big shots can score free gravy now. If they're importers. Dats da faks, Jack. |
