Yep, there is only room for one big mouth in Obama's government. Some 20 years ago I had a boss like Obama. Always shooting his mouth off from day one. If more generals had spoken up in 1965 era when I was drafted, maybe we would have a hell of a lot names on the wall, and we would have been victorious if at all possible. This guy was saying that Obama came to meetings unprepared and his aids were total doofuses. Not on how we should be dropping nukes, etc. per MacArthur. When he retires, I would like him to speak up about the rules of engagement, and how they are killing our soldiers. what he failed to note was that obama, unlike bush, LISTENED to the general, and gave him every single thing he asked for. mcchrystal determined our policy in afghanistan. he determined the method of COIN. the troop levels, the resources it's his plan. NOW he bitches he's not being listened to. it's bizarre Not at all. Obama hasn't figured out the enemy is like school yard bullies. You need to bloody their noses once and awhile to keep them smarter. Obama has taken the do no harm stand as he loves muslims. Well, it is getting them killed. Guess the generals are getting sick of DC head up their arse decisions. -- The bigger government gets, the more it tends to rule out common sense. |

Things like that happen. Or perhaps he has had it with Obama's BS and wants out. -- The bigger government gets, the more it tends to rule out common sense. Or, perhaps you're just an idiot. I can't wait for McCrystal to have the freedom to speak his mind. I just hope he doesn't suffer from a "fatal accident" before he gets to tell all. How long does unemployment last? I know this will come as a shock to a low-level and soon to be laid off wage-earner like you, Canucki, but self-employed people are not "unemployed." Perhaps your buds on the right here believe the economical and political crap you spew, but those of us who are conscious and sentient get a whiff of your bull**** everytime you hit the "SEND" button. The other day you claimed you were interested in buying a McDonald's franchise. Bull****. You couldn't pay for a simple $5 lunch for a half dozen posters here. |

Bush fired or "retired" many generals for speaking out. I think Obama should not fire him unless he believes that McCrystall can no longer do the job he was assigned to do. Obama's ego will cause McCrystal to be fired. He is a thin skinned little man, isn't he? We're not talking about you here. |

Military people make war for a living and they promote their craft. That is why we have civilian oversight. In the end it is really McCrystal's decision to leave the Army or not but he can have his options in the Army severely limited What most career military personnel want most is to stay in uniform, no matter what. I doubt McCrystal will be willing to fly a desk in Fumbuck Arkansas. If Obama relieves him, he will be spending more time with his family and writing his memoirs. He might even get a show on Fox like Ollie. Obie just fired him. His humongus ego wouldn't let him do otherwise. |
