Bill answered your post correctly. Why the hatred?

She lives for confrontation.

And, you're brain dead!

Typical response.

Perhaps. Also accurate.

Hence the little Gel Cell.

It turns out that almost all alternators have a little residual
magnetism and if you just spin them fast enough they will start
generating.

If not you get double your money back. :-)

But does it generate enough current to get the diesel spark needed to
get
it started?

Steve ;-)

Steve, I'm sorry, but I started this thread, so I'm sure someone else
will
take credit for it.

Looking for "credit" for starting a thread? Your life is that pathetic?
How sad.

Actually, I was responding to the nutcases who said I never talk about
sailing, but you're an expert when it comes to pathetic, so I'll defer to
you.

You could never be a lawyer. Your responses are dumb at best.

Larry, a few of us have stopped talking to Plume. She seems to have only
you left to mess with. Try clamming up on her and see what happens.

You sound afraid... very afraid.

I "sound" afraid? Are you hearing things now?

You're wringing your hands, you're so afraid. You're trembling. You can't
handle a woman who's, at a minimum, 10 times as smart as you. I feel sorry
for you. Truly.

I read the wiki on diesels, and I think I read that if a diesel is
running, then it doesn't need a spark (e.g., battery energy) to
keep
running. If that's the case, then it seems like you should be able
to
start a diesel by hand, assuming you have the muscle or leverage.
So,
in
the former case, even if your battery died - perhaps got wet and
shorted
out - then the engine would keep running. In the latter situation
if
the
battery was already dead, you might be able to crank it to start
it.

In the old days you could do just that. Any modern diesel has
electronic
controls.

I guess you're unable to understand what I wrote. Did I mention
recently
that you're an idiot?

Bill answered your post correctly. Why the hatred?

No hatred, and no he didn't answer the questions I asked.

Bill told you exactly the same thing as jps, he just used less words
to express the same thoughts. You reacted differently. There's your
"hatred".

Oh, and you never asked any questions in your post, you simply made
some statements of your understanding after having read a wiki. A
question would be something like... Am I correct? Do they work like
this? There isn't a single question mark in your post, or even a
sentence formed as a question.

Your conversational and social skills are sorely lacking.

Reply: He didn't. He didn't answer the second part. If you're unable
to
figure out there was an implied question and he did and attempted to
answer
it, your statement is what's lacking in brain power.

What's this "reply:" ****? Fix your news reader.

Outlook Express is far too complicated for her.

Life is, apparently, far to complicated for you.

Lame response.

Accurate response. See note on your "fear factor."

of manhood. A mythical being.

Well, very few people actually like being sprayed by your scent
glands , D'Plume. Or in this case, D'Fum

Another chicken little... poor baby!

"Chicken Little?"

Ah! Yet another shallow name that pertains to nothing.
D'Plume, is that the best you can come up with?

If you were so smart, D'Plume, you wouldn't act like a 4 year old who
is being picked on (and loving the attention, by the way)

But seeing you'll never be average, nor wish to be, I suppose your
conduct is the best we can expect.
