Yeah, like the whacko that shot the four police officers in Washington
state? Or, the whacko that killed all those people at Ft. Hood? Gun
free, my ass. Whackos choose whatever venue that will give them the
highest profile. This last whacko, you'll note, was willing to go down
with the plane. I don't think his dying was a consideration to him.

Actually Ft. Hood is a gun free zone as long as you are not at the range,
etc.

All military installations are "gun free zones." If you live on base you
are required to store your firearms at the armory.

Interesting. I wonder why the military thought it was important to have a
gun free zone on a military base. Perhaps in the vast majority of cases it
makes better sense. Of course, there's the issue of "military intelligence."
Aren't handguns called weapons by the military?

Have to ask Janet "The System Worked" Napolitano.

"DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the thwarting of the attempt
to blow up the Amsterdam-Detroit flight this week demonstrated that
“the system worked.”

Asked by CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union” how that could be
possible when the young Nigerian who sought to set off the bomb was
able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the flight, Napolitano
responded: “We’re asking the same questions.”

Let me see if I got this right - an admitted jihadist, father warned
DHS and FBI, he got on a flight with explosives and injectable ignitor
fluid, was on a watch list and still got a visa, almost set one of the
devices off, was subdued by the passengers until landing.

Yep - the system worked alright - perfectly if you live in Obamaland
where everything is a B+ effort and George Orwell is your language
expert.

You know - I'm normally incredulous about some of the things that
politicians say and do because most of them are morons, but this is so
outrageous, it's incomprehensible.

She needs to be fired and fired now. That's twice under her watch
something has gone hideously wrong on an air plane and passengers have
had to take action.

But, Tom she is a lawyer and was a prosecutor, attorney general and
Governor. She can't be incompetent. At least that's what someone pointed
out to me earlier today when I called her competence into question too.

She was talking about the reaction after there was a security breach. The
plane landed safely. Additional safety measures are being put in place,
something that should have been done during the last administration. This
has been a known problem for quite a while.

If anything, she's guilty of mis-speaking, so you should probably take a
chill pill.

Why not just make flyers strip and issue hospital gowns and booties?
They can pick up their clothes at the arrival point.
What's the big deal?
They can modify the hospital gowns so your ass isn't in the wind.
Maybe go to a trousers and shirt kind.
Let everybody carry 20 bucks aboard to buy stuff from the plane gedunk
in case they just have to have a Snickers or a Coca-Cola.
Crew can organize prayer sessions (multi-denomination), group
sing-alongs and charade games to keep folks busy while in the air.
Those who want to can just watch a movie.
What's the problem here? Why aren't they doing this?
No more long security waits at the airport, and you can reduce costs
by eliminating most of the TSA personnel.
Be more fun flying too. An adventure every time.
Looks doable to me. I must add though, that I don't fly.
What say you fliers?

Herr Krause. Is this a reason you support Napolitano with such zeal?
With no irony you think on the same wave as she.
