... So I'm really not sure of the guy yet, but I'm beginning to take a look at some of the stuff Al Franken is doing. like, standing up to old party hardliners on both sides of the fence, questioning the dubious acts of the Healthcare bill etc. Here' you read it and I'll shut up. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009...+Politics%2529 He's always seemed pretty straight up to me.. -- Nom=de=Plume |

Some people don't like honesty if it runs counter to their politics. Hopefully Franken won't get corrupted by the sleazeballs populating the Senate. Leiberman and McCain are pure sleaze. They'll flat out lie with a straight face. McCain came to Leiberman's defense about Franken not allowing him to rattle on with his inanities, saying he never saw such a thing happen. Just saw a clip of the same thing happen to Byrd - in 2002 I think. Who objected to Byrd being allowed to continue rattling on? John McCain. Most of these guys don't deserve any respect. Best we can hope for is dueling to the death be made legal. Might thin out their ranks temporarily. More likely they'd stop their non-stop lying, the fear of the duel lending them some sense of honor. --Vic |

I completely disagree... unless you're talking about demagoguery. Certainly not for the better of the country. -- Nom=de=Plume |
