The trick to winter riding is a snowmobile suit. They work.

Of course, nothing helps when ice is involved. Don't have those
special tires, donchano.

Go off to the gym this morning and come out at Noon to 62F warmth. *I
thought the forecast rain today. *But 62 and sunny.

It has been snowing for 20 minutes and the ground is covered....
visibilities are low.... and it feels COLD. Looking for as much as
14-15 inches .... as much as 2 feet just north of here.....

It's raining like a sumbitch here, so I imagine a lot of places north
of here are getting a lot of snow. Hope this stays rain, it's only
about 38 or so.

St. Louis (KMOX) just said rain and turning into snow tonight, w/a
possible of an inch accumulation. I hope the rain evaporates first,
otherwise "black ice" w/snow coverage? Pretty bad driving. But they's
gonna send the salt spreaders out.

We're right in a kind of the edge of two different zones and that
makes things strange. Like now, it's raining, it's about 35 degrees.
It could start sleeting at any time, then turn to snow for awhile
even. Also, because when we get these, it rains like hell then may
freeze at night and black ice is a BIG problem here.

I was just checking the in-laws flight into Atlanta to see if there's
still arrival delays, seems to be getting straightened out now, not
raining as hard. Charlotte has arrival and departure delays because of
ice/snow.
